Ahoy SSSF Members!

Our Fall Sailing/Boating Orientation Session (SOS) is scheduled for November 7th at Hillsboro El Rio South Park, Pavilion #4. Located at 200 SW 18th Street, Boca Raton, 33432.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR BOTH MEMBERS & GUESTS for proper lunch count. This event is free for members, $20 for a member's non-member guest.  

IMPROVE YOUR SAILING/BOATING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS- Recommended for all new members!

Event Details

Date: November 7, 2026

Venue:  Hillsboro El Rio South Park, Pavilion #4. Located at 200 SW 18th Street, Boca Raton, 33432.  

No Entrance Fee and its Free to Park.

Agenda: Our knowledgeable instructors ensure a fun, hands-on learning experience, providing a great opportunity to enhance your sailing/boating skills and become a valuable crew member. 

9:30 AM - Registration

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM -  Courses will include topics of Boating Terminology and Parts of Boats/Sails, Crew and Crew-Chief Etiquette and Responsibilities, Throwing Lines and Tying Knots/Cleats, and Boat Safety (Radio, Man Over Board, Systems Panel, Etc.). A cold lunch will be served. If you have any special dietary requirements, please provide your own food/beverage provisions.

Members and Instructors are requested to wear their SSSF Badges.
