SSSF was founded in 1988 and has about 200 active members.  Sailing activities include raft-ups, day sails and overnight sails.  

Numerous parties and social events are held throughout the year.  Educational offerings include: boat orientation, onboard sailing skills, navigation, rules of the road, knot tying and boat etiquette; to name a few.
