You are invited to attend Kentucky Derby Day at Gulfstream Park on May 3, 2025!

SSSF Members & Guests that want to enjoy the festivities of the 151st Kentucky Derby  at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Come On Down!

If you will not be attending the Ft Lauderdale Air Show this is where you want to be!

Location: Gulfstream Park: 901 S. Federal Hwy Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009

Time: First Local Race at Gulfstream Park will start at 12:50 pm Derby Races at Churchill Downs in Kentucky are held all day. The Kentucky Derby Run for the Roses is scheduled for 6:57 pm.

Seating: Grandstand seats are FREE & Picnic Tables with Umbrellas are FREE facing the Track First Come First Serve.

Volunteers Needed: We need 8 Volunteers to be at Gulfstream at 10:30 am to grab 4 Picnic Tables with Umbrellas to hold for SSSF! Two Volunteers will be assigned per Table to hold for the Club. Two Volunteer Judges are needed!

Cost: Parking & Seating is Free! Members can bring their own water (No Coolers allowed). People can bring a sandwich or protein bars but not make it obvious. There are Cash Bars and places to purchase Food, Drinks & Water. Betting on the local races and Derby races is available on the first floor of the Complex. There is also a Gulfstream Park Casino.

Kentucky Derby Hats: Please wear your Best Kentucky Derby Hat! There will be a SSSF Kentucky Derby Hat Contest with Prizes at 3:00 pm at the SSSF Picnic Table & Umbrella Area!

Please Remember to never leave our Picnic Tables vacant or others can claim our Tables. As people leave be sure to leave several members remaining to protect the SSSF Tables.

Registration: Please Register by 5/1/25. Coffee & Donuts will be provided by SSSF for the 8 Early Bird Volunteers needed to secure our tables.
